About UsWestern Air Care Inc was Established in 2018 as a public benevolent institution, as an addition to Western Air Ministries, thereby providing tax deductible status for donations for the benevolent works. Western Air Ministries was founded by Pastor David & Kerry Jackson to provide Christian ministry to those in remote properties and townships in outback NSW, often accessed by light aircraft. These areas now include remote areas of Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. The charity arm was started to provide hay and fodder to farmers for their breeding stock in times of drought and flood and has expanded to include providing for the benevolent needs of farmers and the outback rural communities of New South Wales. | |
| | Farmers and rural communities are often at the mercy of severe circumstances, including drought, flood, insect and vermin plagues, which can decimate a farming community and way of life. These conditions negatively impact the emotional and mental well being of individuals and families and can effectively wipe out years of income for farmers and in turn have detrimental economic effects on rural communities. Our objective is to provide an opportunity for others to “stand in the gap.” And provide care and hope to those in need. Our hands on work relies on a wonderful and dedicated team of volunteers. Many of our volunteers have strong connections to the country, having lived in regional and remote areas, while those from the cities make the trip out to these communities to help make a difference. |
